Community Corrections in Indiana is a unique and successful example of partnership between the state and local government to foster the development and operation of local intermediate sanction programs and Advisory Boards that enhance the public safety, the coordination of the local criminal and juvenile justice systems, the accountability of the offender in the community and the diversion of non-violent offenders from incarceration at the state level.
